  5. ColorSync, Apple’s new color-matching architecture for the Macintosh, is a
  6. system extension that enables consistent color across the system. This
  7. extension will provide system level color matching services to all
  8. applications, scanners, displays and printers.  ColorSync allows for the color
  9. of the original art you scan to be the same color that appears on your
  10. display--and the color you see on the display will be the same when it is
  11. printed.

  13. The result will be more consistent and predictable color-matching results from
  14. all of your color applications, whether you are producing desktop presentations
  15. and newsletters or color film separations.

  17. ColorSync provides both the ability to match between input, display and output
  18. as well as new capabilities, such as the ability to preview the color matched
  19. document, which applications can take advantage of in the future.

  21. Installation is easy. Simply drag the Macintosh ColorSync icon to your System 7
  22. Folder and restart your Macintosh. ColorSync then becomes part of the Macintosh
  23. operating system and provides the foundation for:
